Builders Bites: A Healthy Burger Swap for the Office or Offsite

Fuel your workday without the fast-food fatigue. Your next favorite pack-and-go lunch is here

Need quick, filling fuel that won’t slow you down? Our in-house chef Nikki shares her go-to chicken burger that’s leaner, healthier, and protein-rich while keeping all the flavors you love.

 Easy Chicken Burger Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Bun (Pretzel, Sourdough, Gluten-Free – Your Pick)

  • Skinless Chicken Breast

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Cheese (Of Choice)

  • Condiments of Choice

Instructions:

1. Season chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder

2. Grill for 6-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F

3. Toast bun until golden brown

4. Stack with cheese (add while chicken is hot), crisp lettuce & fresh tomato

Pro Tip: For extra-juicy results, let the chicken rest for 3 minutes before building your burger.

Bonus Recipe: If you want to swap the fast food fries for sweet potato fries - it’s so easy! Grab 4 medium sized sweet potatoes, 3 tablespoons of olive oil (or avocado oil or oil of choice), 1/2 teaspoon salt and ground black pepper.

  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F

  • Use 2 baking sheets, line with aluminum (easier clean up!)

  • Slice potatoes into 1/2 inch thick sticks, add them to a bowl and toss with oil, salt and pepper

  • Bake for 15-25 minutes, turn them over once, they are usually ready when the edges are slightly browned

Perfect for:

  • Long site days

  • Energy without the crash

  • Protein-packed lunch

  • Easy meal prep

Compared to traditional cheeseburgers, this lighter version packs more protein while cutting down on unwanted fats. Perfect for a quick weekday dinner or meal prep!
